For example, The Verve are definitely not my top artist this week. I don't know where they got that. I only have one of their albums, and I've only listened to it once.
Same thing with Cocorosie. I haven't listened to them very much really.
I like both bands though.
I've heard people say "there are Elvis people, and there are Beatles people." I guess that's fair, and if it's true, I am most definitely a Beatles person. Along with most everyone I know.
However, I have also heard it said that "there are Led Zeppelin people and there are Who people." Which also makes sense. The difference here is that I am one of the only Who people I know. So if you'll excuse me, I am going to go watch The Kids Are Alright completely alone.
I can't believe this actually happened, but last night I dreamt that me and my friend Philip went out to lunch with The Pipettes, and it pretty much just ended up with me and Rose (pictured above) sitting around and talking at this restaurant in Austin (Kerbey Lane for you locals). I was so sad when I woke up...
It must have been related to SXSW, because I think part of it had the drummer for Peter Bjorn and John (John's replacement) in it.

That's bullshit, man. I've never met a person who was into led zeppelin and not the who.
Really?? Sure, everyone likes both bands, but most people who are obsessed with one of them are obsessed with Zeppelin. I have a hard time meeting people who share my enthusiasm when I listen to The Who Sell Out and gush about what a perfect album it is, most of them would rather hear Physical Graffiti or something.
I always thought it was Zepp people vs Stones people. The Who are that special part of your well being that makes unicorns live and tamborines shake.
