Work has been nutty and then my wi-fi gave out so here's my makeup vid for the week:
for the life of me I can't figure out how to embed video into my posts since the upgrades and its really cramping my style. Can anyone help a sister out?

When you are posting and you come to the point in your post where you want to embed, open the html source ditor by clicking the word "html" from the menu at the top of the box. Then copy/paste away, click "update" in the lower left hand corner of the box, you wiill go back to the smaller box, where the code for the video should show up, then finish your post and hit publish, or something to that effect.
I would add to the above that you want to paste the embed code into that HTML window (what's a ditor, she wondered?).
Or, click on the icon above the comment field that looks like a sliver of movie film, and embed the URL of the page you're getting the video from in the field marked "File/URL". This may not work with any source other than YouTube.
