MOG MOG

WHERE THE HOKEY POKEY "IS" WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT

Artist:

There are few things in the world of entertainment that leave me speechless, but watching this video did just that. I wonder how much money Snoop got paid to put on a turban (which is one of my favorite images of the year) and make music for the Indian film.

According to Indicine.com, this movie is a pretty huge deal in India.. check this out:

"Singh Is King released world wide today and the Akshay Kumar movie is off to a historic opening at the box-office. The preview shows across the country were houseful. Shows for the entire weekend are sold out. In North India, its tough to get tickets for the movie at single screens or Multiplexes.

The craze in Pakistan is unbelievable. Most shows are sold out, it will most certainly go on to become one of the biggest blockbusters of all time.

In UK, the preview shows were sold out.. The craze for the film has to be seen to be believed. Akshay Kumar is a big star in UK and the movie is set to beat some serious box-office records. The numbers will be out by Tuesday morning (IST). So stay tuned."

I think all of this looks incredibly cheesy, but then again maybe American comedy looks un-funny to foreigners.... tomato ta-mah-to.

I'm guessing he already had a harem, so a turban was the only thing missing ;)

It's supposed to be cheesy...awesome! I love me some Bollywood.

And yeah, I'm afraid that contemporary American comedy is not what I'm best at laughing with :/

I saw "Singh Is Kinng" in a sold-out movie theater in Germany yesterday. It's a highly enjoyable goofball gangster comedy (a remake of the 1989 Jackie Chan movie "Miracles"). The (mostly Indian and Pakistani) audience cheered when the Snoop video appeared during the final titles.

The soundtrack is great as well (if you like Bhangra) - I bought it at emusic.
