This ad ran in the Dallas Morning News the day President Kennedy was shot.
It's time to cool this vicious rhetoric before we get another man killed. Things like "traitor!", "kill him!", "terrorist!" have been recently shouted from people in the crowds at McCain rallies. Today you saw John McCain attempt to put out the fires members of his campaign have helped start in recent days.... Let's hope there is a serious attempt to calm this angry fervor ... MORE
Angelsea She moves like and angel
And seven evening stars
Dance through the window

Lies humming in your soul
So patiently awaiting
For your ears to behold
She ripples on the water
Leaves diamonds on the shore
And fish from every distance
Watch her ocean cellar door
Her breath a warm fire
In every lovers heart
A mistress to magicians
And a dancer to the gods

Stevie Wonder is the king of this sort of thing, but Cat Stevens achieves a similar level of greatness with this shameless ode to just being yourself. I love this song and I don't care who knows it!
Searches channel - video mashup - of some of Cat Steven's greatest songs live. Most are from the Earth Tour of 1976. Man, he can't stand still...but I guess he's not supposed to, huh ;)
I'm ambiguous, as it's in my nature to be, about Valentine's Day. Usually on this day, I put up my favourite song, ever, "Origin of Love". But "How Can I Tell You?" was on one of those best-of CDs my future ex-husband gave me at Christmas, and I'd never heard it before! How can that be? How could I possibly have missed a Cat Stevens song! I even owned - _owned_ - Izitso, although maybe that purchase isn't a good example of my adoration, being a bit of a departure from ... MORE
If you are as in love with the movie "Harold and Maude" as I am, you will have already asked yourself "Why can't I find the soundtrack anywhere?" A kid who fakes suicides to get his mother's attention and then solves the problem by falling in love with a 79 year old woman who wants to commit suicide on her 80th birthday in a couple weeks - absolutely brilliant, and also, quite hilarious. I didn't know it when I decided to rent this movie, but Cat Stevens did the entire soundtrack. I mean every song is a Cat Steven... MORE
