Turns out David Bowie is helping Woody Allen muse Scarlett Johansson on her debut music album, Anywhere I Lay My Head. Bowie lent his chops on two songs on the record - "Fannin’ Street" and "Falling Down." We can only assume the collaboration came with the help of the record's producer David Sitek. Today we were watching Almost Famous OnDemand. I've had Bowie's live cover in my head since we watched the scene when William's sister, Zoey Deschanel, played the original for her mother, Frances McDormand, as the reason she was leaving home. Does anyone remember this movie? Labyrinth, or as I like to call it, David Bowie tries out his hand at acting while wearing really revealing tights! As a child I loved it, but looking back I feel really sorry for the baby. Although he was exposed to some good music (well.......) as a child, those puppets probably scarred him for life.

I wanted to post this Bowie song just because I really love it. Not sure why but it made me think of other men songs I like. Like Robyn Hitchcock's "The Man Who Invented Himself".
