This video could well fall into my series of posts on great guitar solos, but I felt a bit of trepidation about that in that I can't positively place the song. I think it's Honeysuckle Rose, but I'm finding my ability to recall various melodies, particularly when such liberties are taken with the melody as we find here, to be something of a failing faculty. I know, you don't have to tell me. My musical tastes are pretty eclectic. Anyway, thisandroidheart added me to her trusted MOG's this evening. Thanks BTW. The intro guitar solo boggles the mind. And Freddy Taylor's improv scats give the song such a nice, blithe touch. My favorite is "my pretty baby baba booo."

So... my favorite thing about Django is the fact that he lost parts his fingers on his fretting hand in a fire... and then relearned to play the guitar with this disability... is that CRAZY or what?! (see photo)
He is an absolutely amazing guitarist...
and songwriter!
I also love his song Nuages... it's so wonderful!
