At the time of this show, I was actually kinda disappointed and since then I always preferred the 1990 show... I finally finished the first draft of my dissertation today. It's just the first draft and there is more to do, but it's a huge weight off my mind. And this is the song that has kept me going over the past two days. I don't know why. It just worked out that way.

From Publishers Weekly Readers hoping for sex and drugs and rock 'n' roll won't be disappointed by the legendary guitarist's autobiography. How do you cram forty years of rock 'n' roll into under four hundred pages? I liked the book. However, I didn't feel that there was any groundbreaking revelations presented. I guess if you live your life as an open book, it leaves it harder to write one. I'd like to hear what others who have read the book have to say.

Anybody else catch this review by Stephen King of "Clapton"? "Most A.A. meetings begin with the chairman offering his qualifications at the head table next to the coffee maker. This qualification is more commonly known in the program as the drunkalogue. That Clapton is a guitar god is pretty much accepted on every planet. Less appreciated I think, is his remarkable ability as a singer. Note I did not say vocalist, I said singer. Though it hasn't happened too often in his career, he has on occasion reached deep into a song to find his own turtured voice. Ironically Its usually a cover tune. So....The verdict?
