I saw a clip of Feist on the Colbert Report and remembered how much I love this song...
...and as usual I was quite inspired.

Is it a coincidence that Feist is quite feisty? I think not. I just got in from her show and man is she full of spunk. She has so much spirit, but the kind that would blossom among a much smaller crowd than there was tonight. There we were all in our velvet seats, like a good obedient audience: the exact opposite of what she wanted. There's actually THREE Feist songs at work. I guess I knew it but I didn't really think about it? I don't know. But there's My Moon, My Man which I always knew was there... And then I Feel It All and Mushaboom. Neither of those songs were ones I could name before actually going to figure out what they were, though, so I guess that explains it. Next thing you know I'll find Frou Frou on there (actually.... I really do think there's an Immy song on there, in whatever var... MORE

Troubadour Leslie Feist, better known as just Feist may have lost the Grammy for Best New Artist to Amy Winehouse earlier this year, but you ain't gonna be seeing Amy Winehouse on Sesame Street any time soon. Feist added several stops to her already extensive summer tour. She plays in Detroit MI Thursday April 10th and covers most of the US before hitting Canada. You'll notice that to the left in my "songs you should be listening to" the song My Man My Moon sits patiently, ready to be heard. I'm sure many have heard the song before. It's fun and lovable. But really I'm just calling it out because I like it AND because it has the word moon in it. If you look out at the moon tonight it's a really neat sight. Feist was nominated for four Grammy Awards and has won multiple Juno Awards, prizes she calls "for the parents." She's had quite a year thanks to the extra attention she got from being featured in one of Apple's commercials for its iPod Nano.

Such a beautiful song. This song feels like it was sung outside in open air and not in a studio, which could be the case considering how the entire album was supposedly recorded.

Feist's "The Reminder" (Cherry Tree/Interscope) has won the 2007 Shortlist Prize, which recognizes albums released between January and November 2007 that have yet to be certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America for U.S. shipments of 500,000 units.

Joining both, Beyonce and the Foo Fighters, the first to confirm performances at the 2008 Grammys will be Alicia Keys, Feist, Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley.

The lovely Feist is making her way across the globe. Yesterday MOG reported that the chanteuse was heading to Oz in February. Now, the Canadian singer will make her way to Europe this spring, beginning with a stop in Edinburgh, Scotland's Queens Hall on May 20th.
