For the Gnarls fans out there, this performance was pretty good. The duo are sporting a 50s look, complete with the pompadour for Cee-Lo Green.

I have been thinking about this, only because I am reading the Twilight books and watching a lot of Battlestar and everything seems obsessed with souls and i am not convinced I have one, however, if I do, the I am sure that Gnarls Barkley is gonna save it. i am possibly being a bit late to jumping on the bandwagon with this. The release of their debut album St Elsewhere in 2006 was a major success. The single, Crazy, made history by being the first single to reach number ... MORE

Gnarls Barkley - Mystery Man PigeonsandPlanes
Original Story: http://www.pigeonsandplanes.com/feeds/791269140...
Over the 4th of July weekend, Gnarls Barkley performed at the Roskilde Music Festival. The duo played plenty of their new joints and classics, as well as a cover of Radiohead's "Reckoner." Cee-Lo's voice is just high-timbre enough to pull it off too, check out this video from the scene:
I expected many things tonight as I made my way into Atlanta to catch Gnarls Barkley at the Variety Playhouse. I expected a spaceman costume or two, maybe a bunny suit, or even an impromptu wedding ceremony where Cee-Lo plays the role of the blushing, heavily-tattooed bride - all with a hip-hop/R&B-edged soundtrack to go along with it. Fair enough, right? Out of all possible expectations, though, the one that came through in the end is the one I never saw coming: Gnarls B... MORE
After my first viewing of this video, I won't even pretend I know what I just witnessed. The only thing I can tell you without question is it won't give you seizures like the clip for "Run".
But seriously it doesn't really matter about the video - whethere or not it was there to represent the song, cause thats just one vision out of many people - and to tell you the truth, i rather enjoyed it... Oh how they make me want to move. "The Odd Couple" might be one of the better albums but i might have to argue with myself because as cretive as it was, the "St. Elsewhere" album was just as entertaining and consistant with their sound, and apparently - unless i just ... Just an update to my previous post: Now that the video is more widely available on the web, I found one I can embed here for everyone to watch. And you really should watch this, Gnarls Barkley get mad creative with the videos and this one is like a mini-movie about heartbreak!
Gnarls Barkley - "Who's Gonna Save My Soul?":

Rating:6.5 out of 10The Good: A short, fun, fast paced album that easily sucks you in.The Bad: "Open Book" ... wow.. horrible song.Download These: "Going On", "Surprise", "Run"
I've been a big fan of Cee-lo from his work with Tha Goodie Mob, to the collaborative Dungeon Family albums, and his two solo albums that were released early this decade. He's a criminally underrated lyricist and one of the few hip hop artists who can truly pair rapping and singing in the same song.... MORE
