This morning I woke up and looked at my Apple homepage and saw that Jeff Buckley's "Hallelujah" was #2 on iTunes. I love this song, but Buckley covered it back in '94, so I wondered what had caused this iTunes phenomenon. I did some research (a.k.a. Googling) and found out that American Idol contestant, Jason Castro, sang it a couple of nights ago. The judges say they like his rendition. When I was cleaning my dog's toilet (and by that I mean some piece of paper unfold – usually half Sunday newspaper), I noticed he flushed his bladder on Jeff Buckley (Holy schmutz, don't know how that got there.. I usually keep music related pages away from such _wet destiny_). I swear I'm not trying to make this 'Morbid Monday' or anything, but the more I listen to Andrew Bird's newest album the more I notice some vocal similarities to the late Jeff Buckley, and I had to bust out an album that I hadn't listened to in way too long, and that would be Jeff's Grace.
