On September 1,1990 at the Shoreline Amphitheater the Jerry Garcia Band performed a particularly poignant kind of magic.A Grateful Dead show was originally scheduled for that date but was canceled due to the untimely death of the Dead's brilliant passionate keyboard player,Brent Mydland in late July. Rather than cancel the gig,the Jerry Garcia Band stepped in to deliver one of their most heartfelt performances.

...in Hartford, CT on this date in 1991... One of the great benefits of the post-coma life of Jerry was his renewed commitment to the Garcia Band. In addition to the legendary run on Broadway and the recurring shows at the Warfield, JGB embarked on several full-scale tours which hit the East Coast, notably in '89, '91 and '93...and there was the great live album from 1991...
