Metallica took to the stage amidst resounding cheers last night (Wednesday, May 14) at Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles. Below, fan filmed footage of the sold out 2,200 seat venue. The clips gives us a good look at this much smaller, exclusive performance.

If you want to be the first on your block (or on MOG) to hear the upcoming new Metallica album, you should check out the band's new website, MissionMetallica.com. According to NME, Metallica have promised to let fans "experience the new album before it's done". Meanwhile, the as-yet-untitled album is being recorded with Rick Rubin in L.A. and is anticipated for release in September.
