Theres a lot of interesting albums coming out in the next month or two. The five biggest releases are Nas, Lil Wayne, The Cool Kids, The Game, and G-Unit. Although it's been delayed four or five times already, I'm getting the feeling that Nas's LP will actually see the light of day on July 1st as intended.
What albums are you looking forward to? It's hard to narrow my interest down to just one or two albums... But I'm most interesting in hearing "The Carter III".

For some reason that I don't quite understand, Nelly's made a song dedicated to the Bay Area and their rappers. Usually this sort of thing only happens when someone wants to clear up misunderstandings and squash beef.
Unknown motives aside, the song isn't something that'll blow you away but it's definitely good stuff. During the first verse Nelly flips Spice 1's style from "187 Proof". During the second verse he pays homage to Too $hort dropping numerous references.

The rapper's designs to collaborate with

Dear Nelly,
I disagree with your assertion that it's getting hot in herre. My radiator broke and it just happens to be the middle of winter, so it is in fact freezing in herre. Taking off all our clothes would just be stupid, and result in the contraction of pneumonia.

While the U.S. government discussed hip hop's effect on society in Washington yesterday, BET recorded Hip Hop vs. America, which featured a town hall styled discussion about rap music's influence in the country. Several popular artists such as Nelly and T.I. participated in the event, with the intentions of opening lanes of communication on the matter. Rappers are under attack once again, this time the criticism comes from a church on the south side of Chicago. The Faith Community of Saint Sabina Church have erected 10 anti hip hop billboards throughout the city, asking citizens to "stop listening to trash".

Texas school district bans grillz
ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) -- The school district here has
expanded its dress codes to include mouths - and earlobes.
