The jam-band Phish announced earlier today that they would be reuniting for a 3 night concert stand March 6th, 7th and 8th, 2009 in Hampton, Virginia, with a 2009 tour to be announced later on. Tickets go on sale 10/18.
I'm not surprised by this news - members of the group have dropped hints over the past year that this would be happening, and reunions seem to be all the rage now. I'm wondering if they'll come back up to Vermont, where they played their last concert, and b... MORE

They are reporting that Phish is going to work with Steve Lillywhite on an upcoming album which will be their first since they disbaned in 2004. Steve produced their 1996 album Billy Breathes. He was also a co-producer on The Stones Exile on Main St. To these questions his reponse was "no comment" which certaily isnn't a "no". Hope this happens... will be a fun reunion show! Li... MORE

It's been talked about for years now. Four years to be exact. However, this week, the prayers of legions of jam fans and ex-Deadheads were answered: Legendary jam pioneers Phish announced plans on their website to play three nights at the Hampton Coliseum in Hampton, VA. The shows, scheduled to take place March 6-8, would be the band's first since August 2004, after playing their final string of shows at a farewell festival in Coventry, VT.

It seems the boys from Phish -- the most celebrated jam-band in the land since Jerry Garcia passed on -- are ready to saddle up again. Four years after the group announced they were done with a series of farewell concerts, they have announced three dates for next March in Hampton, Virginia, with the promise of more to come.
