How important is a campaign song? Well, one should choose accurately. After Illinois Senator and Democratic Presidential candidate Barack Obama lost unexpectedly to fellow candidate and New York Senator Hillary Clinton in the New Hampshire primary, Obama's camp was ridiculed for playing Stevie Wonder's 'Signed Sealed Delivered, I'm Yours" after the defeat. The classic tune is know for the lyrics "Here I am baby/Signed, Sealed, Delivered, I'm yours/(You got my future in you... MORE
Two Stevie's causing lightning to strike along with Jody Watley. This was recorded for an MTV special in the early 90s. Stevie Ray's rhythm comping and fills are nasty beyond belief.
Stevie Ray sings the first chorus, Stevie Wonder the second, and Jody Watley the third.
Best performance I've ever heard of "Superstition". Seeing video for it is a bonus and makes it even more fun.
A forum member on ?uestlove's Okayplayer.com site recently shared two unreleased song snippets from Stevie Wonder. The songs were recorded after Innervisions and shelved indefinitely for over 34 years...until now.
The person who posted the songs said they would only provide 45 second snippets because they promised not to leak the tracks in their entirety.

Theres so much you can say about Stevie, he's a legend, he's an icon, and he's just so damned good. He turns 58 today so i figured MOG could show him a little love.

I'm posting "Overjoyed", because I think it's one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard...
This is an interesting song to look at because it's also an evolution of a song here. Over this weekend, I was talking to my Dad about Weird Al, and how he played the song Amish Paradise during the concert that I was part of. This led to a discussion of covers vs. originals, and he mentioned that Coolio wasn't the original artist for this song - it was Stevie Wonder.
Doing a bit of research, I found that this was correct - The original song was called Pastime Paradise... MORE

Went to DJ Spinna and Bobitto's Wonderful (A Dance Party Tribute to Stevie Wonder) party last night! This party has been running for about 10 years and I think I went to the very first one back then and hadn't been to one since until last year when I went and left early after becoming sick from something I ate earlier that day. Anyway, I'm 38; which isn't that old by today's standards but I always think I'm too old for everything; so I wouldn't normally go to the wonder... MORE
