Another 13th has passed and with it The Cure have released a video for the third single "Sleep When I'm Dead" off their forthcoming album. The untitled effort -- tentatively being called mix 13, is the band's 13th studio album -- is promised to be out September 13th. Hopefully by then it will also have a real title. The single was released yesterday with the b-side Down Under. Personally the video is a little hard for me to watch. Robert Smith has GOT to get himself a ne... MORE
... there might be more appropriate things, but nothing funnier than the sound of Robert Smith with a fake American accent. Mmmmmmm. Enjoy your night, MOGgers!
It took me a lot of back and forth debates with myself about who would take the runner-up and number one spots on this top 10 list, but after some serious pen biting and head scratching I've decided that the number two spot goes to the legendary members of the Cure. This was my third time seeing them (the first was when I was in the fifth grade on their Bloodflowers tour, and the second was at Curiosa when I was a sophomore in high school) and it was nothing short of magi... 2) Doodle Robert Smith on a spare scrap of the NY Post
3) Re-read all his infamous interviews from Rollingstone looking for inspiration
4) Think about how guilty all those major labels that first rejected the skinny kids from London's Crawley suburbs back in the day. Think about how many bands I know currently in the same predicament and surviv... MORE
There's a massive heatwave hitting SoCal. It was a 115 degrees yesterday and today it topped 106 in Pasadena. We're moving to our new place in Monrovia by the 4th of July, I hope it's going to cool down before then. I had to pick this Cure song to match the heat that's outside. We've been chilling inside all day long. I watched The Cubs come back and beat the south-siders Sox with a walk off homer by Aramis Rameriz while switching back and forth to Euro Cup 2008 game betw... MORE

Maybe up some where he appreciates it but even if he dosent im glad i knew him. It was a long time ago. But it is fresh in my mind. Maybe i repressed it and now im able to cope with it. I never want to burry a friend. again. Killian died almost a year ago he had just turned 15. I dont belive in a god because what selfish prick would rip a kid a ... MORE

They made some solid videos - MTV pioneers. Put together a mashup of what I think are their greatest hits. Check it out here or below.
Nice, just noticed this in all it's remastered and bonus tracked out glory and almost broke my fingers going clicky clicky...
Sooo...I'm here. I have a feeling that I would really like this place...if I had a working CD drive, or maybe an unlimited Rhapsody account, or anything that would allow me to take full advantage of it. le sigh In any case, I uploaded a picture (lame), chose a skin (unoriginal, so...lame), and played a song to commemorate The Cure concert that I will be attending later this week (not lame). Damn, for a musician, you'd think that I could be more on top of things like ... MORE
I just have a thing for extended mixes for some reason, so here's another one. This is off the North American 12" release for In Between Days by The Cure (yea I'm a massive Cure fan too). The N. American release had an extended mix of this song, while the rest of the world just got the short mix plus two different songs on the B-side (The Exploding Boy and A few Hours After This; the B-side of the N. American release has the short mix on the A-side with the Extended Mix ... MORE
