Europeans adopt the White Stripes "Seven Nation Army" as the unofficial anthem of the 2008 Euro Cup games. It all started with drunken Italians changing the lyrics to "Campioni del mondo" -- champions of the world... I have to say the new electro remix is pretty good. Its almost been a year since I left MOG, found myself a working mans job and felt I had to focus all my attention to the students in my room. Last summer, 24th of July 2007. I had the chance to attend a White Stripes concert at the Madison Square Garden in NYC, and I have to tell I was amazed. Even if I knew the quality of musicians they are, I never expected to see a show like that, the scenario, the lights, the people, the music, everything about that show was unbelievable. I couldn't sing along all the songs from the new album, because I bought it just three days before the concert, but I had the hell of a time!... MORE

As I have previously said, I was rather late to appreciate the White Stripes .
I was put off by all the silly hype and the fact that at one time everyone was
so taken by them.
...But I have become a great fan now. Jack White is clearly steeped in the history, the roots & off-shoots of rocknpop music and revels in exploring and experimenting with them.

My Mog-friend Meghan and I made a little drive to the big city, Nashville, yesterday to run a few errands, do some "Goodwill hunting", and pig out at Noshville downtown. I'm looking to become a fan of bands that still exist, so if anything comes to mind, by all means, send it my way!
Bands that play instruments are preferred; bonus points if they play them well.
Also, downloadable music is an extreme plus. I don't trust any of you quite enough yet to pay $25 for a CD with nothing more than your recommendation to go on! This isn't a slight to you so much as it is a reference to the very slight amount of money in my wallet.
