My daily commute consist of 15 minutes of the best 97.1 has to offer in Atlanta. They usually rotate in new (old) songs and then play them for a while. A recent play was a Three Dogs Night song that I couldn't credit to them. I know Joy to the World and even saw One Dog Night (Danny Hutton) in concert when I was little. The first tune I ever heard from Three Dog Night was 'Liar', which I heard on an AM station in Longview, Washington on a summer vacation at my grandparents. Well, after hearing that particular tune, I made up my mind that the first LP purchase of my fledgling music-buying career was going to be 'Naturally' - the album that contained the aforementioned tune. In 1975, Three Dog Night released their greatest hits album, and my brothers wore the LP out on the turntable. My brothers were 10 and 12 years older than me, and so were teenagers exposing their little brother to the evils of rock n roll. I know this song is considered a cheesy '70s throw-back that you can still hear on the radio today, but at the time, hearing the song over and over again in the basement, it took on an eerie hypnotic quality. Yeah, i haven't posted in a while, been busy and so forth. I got a tattoo on tuesday, which was a big step i think. My mom was cool about it, seeing has how i'm 21 and now a full fledged adult. Um...downloaded a new album by this band called "The Feeling" They are good, not the best band i've heard, but they are listenable and some of their songs are catchy and some are a tad to silly, even for me, but they are good.
