I heard "Fast Car" when I was driving from Trader Joe's and it took me back to a night of my teenage youth. I was still in high school, it was a Friday night one of the only nights of the week I was allowed to go out, in a buddy's car which had stalled in the middle of a midnight rainstorm. I'ma take it back in the day a little bit with this one. Tracy Chapman has that knack for making these little folksy rock type tracks that just get into your soul.

Tracy Chapman... man. We had her on cassette, but we lost that a while ago, so I... "acquired" it again. Let me tell you, she is amazing. I don't even know what to say, except that her voice is haunting. The only downside is that some of the songs on the album I'm currently listening to are ridiculously repetetive, but hey, its good music, so repeat away, I say.
