I'm not a big Usher fan, but the first single off his new album, "Dat Girl Right There," has me a bit intrigued. First of all, it features Ludacris who I've always been a fan of, so that helps in the vocal department. The music is downright different for a hiphop/RnB tune. It's funky electronica, with thick bass, but minimal beats. Luda even raps over a section with no beats at all... Check out the audio from this youTube thang: RWD has it that the producer ... MORE
Two new tracks from Usher's yet-to-be-titled new album. The album has no firm release date, but the label has started sending out "Love In The Club" to radio. While it's safe to assume the wheels have been set into motion to gear up for a release, you never know these days.
Unlike the lead single, "Moving Mountains" and "I can't Win" are slow tempo songs.... enjoy.

Usher just announced that his new "intimate" concerts will be LADIES ONLY!! Can you imagine? 15 concerts with only ONE man in the house: Usher. Damn, he's good. Personally, I wouldn't go to an Usher concert, but I thought he was charming in "In The Mix." The singer will be promoting and performing songs from his new album, Here I Stand. Is this what Usher hopes for?: The tune is my fave version of "Dat Girl Right There" ft. Ludacris... I'm totally seri... MORE
I heard two amazing new songs on the radio.. from two artists that I had assumed totally fell off... Usher and Deborah Cox. Lets keep it real. Deborah Cox hasnt made anything tight in seven years and has gone down the path of putting dance beats behind all her music and doing Gay Pride Parades and events in Europe..But I aint hatin' go get that loot girl.. "give me the loot give me the loot.. Im a Bad Boy..." Usher on the other hand, got dooped into marriage by his styli... MORE
I tried to keep an open mind.... but I just can't bring myself to like this song. The original version of "Love In This Club" was catchy and fun, but this remix contains none of the previous qualities.
The way Lil Wayne is thrown on the end seems really out of place.
According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Usher has a collab in the works with T-Pain and Michael Jackson for his new album. “It’s been created, but it’s not recorded," Usher explained to the newspaper. "And as long as Michael is open to it, hey, anything goes.”
Usher has been hard at work on the new album since early '07, it would be safe to assume his new marriage and child played a role in slowing down progress. "“I’m really like super dad. Really. I really c... MORE

According to a report on the Chicago Sun Times website (which I found via Crunk & Disorderly, thanks Fresh!), Usher and Tameka are splitting up, despite the fact that she's pregnant with the couple's second child. Now, this seems to be unconfirmed at this time. But why am I not surprised this news follows on the heels of Usher's announcement that his 2008 tour will be open to ladies only?! Some of you may have caught my post about that earlier this week. I was thinking... MORE
This is not to be confused with the video of the kid on YouTube re-creating this beat in 20 seconds (take that Palow). This is the high budget version featuring Young Jeezy.
I love the song, but the vid is ultimately forgettable.
Awww, just a few years ago Jay-Z was rapping about "Big Pimpin", and Usher was confessing to cheating on his girlfriend in a title track. Now the two men have a duet about settling down in marriage. Maybe this could be seen as a sign of progress for urban music.
Maybe in 5 years there will be songs about driving your kid to school in an eco-friendly hybrid vehicle. As of now, the Prius is NOT hip hop, but you never know.
Some random kid on YouTube posted a video detailing how Usher's new song was made by default/preset sounds in Apple's "Garage Band" music program. The bulk of the track was recreated in about 20 seconds.. check it out below.
"Love In This Club" was produced by Palow Da Don, and reached #1 two weeks ago before being dethroned by Mariah Carey. Who knows how much Palow charged Usher for this...
and in case you want to hear the full Usher song, here it is.
Over the past few months, several unmixed and unmastered Usher tracks have been leaked to the internet. Almost all of the songs were originally intended to appear on Usher's new album, which has been delayed time and time again for various reasons. The latest song to grow legs and walk out of the studio was called "Love In The Club", and the songs producer Polow Da Don, fessed up to putting the track online.
"I actually leaked it. I'm the culprit," he said nonchalantly. "I... MORE

Millions of viewers watched Usher seamlessly weave through dance steps last night on the season finale of 'Dancing With The Stars', but that taped & edited performance didn't tell the whole story. According to People.com, Usher arrived late and threw the entire production behind schedule. Then the singer had difficulties with his performance, which spawned some diva-like behavior. "Then, while appearing to lip-synch two songs—”Yeah!” and “Love in This Club”—he fell out... MORE
