Just love this song... and the video always brings a smile.
NB No pomerians were harmed in the making of the video!!! lol
We Are Scientists could moonlight as stand-up comedians. The band, now a duo, are out promoting their new album Brain Thrust Mastery and will be hitting the US of A beginning July 1st in LA. Here's the video for "Chick Lit" off Brain Thrust Mastery. It's a country western satire taped in the fields of Ireland. “The horses were angrier than I've ever seen an animal," bassist Chris Cain told NME of the shoot. "They were literally radiating microwaves of rage. It’s really... MORE
I’m not a dancer. I don’t really do disco. Pretty much ever. Honest. Except maybe the odd Gloria Gaynor after a half bottle of Beefeater… Though I wasn’t concerned when all of those dancey/remixed-to-the-point-when-the-originial-was-only-identifiable-by-the-lyrics trend came about, covers of 80’s gems for new kids to sweat, sing and flaunt their tube sox and short-shorts to. I wasn’t concerned because I just didn’t go to what became like 90% of the venues in Melbourne w... MORE
...because these guys rock and they're cute and their lyrics are great. In addition to having the best album cover art ever. If you haven't already seen it, please enjoy the video for The Great Escape:
And now there's this genuinely funny, drunken exchange from NME.com:
I'm cheating a little today, and just posting a video. BUT, I guarantee you it will bring a smile to your faces. I searched around for a proper mp3 of this song, not a shitty radio rip, but couldn't find one with decent quality. Honestly, the things I do for you people : P
Not that looking at We Are Scientists is a bad thing. Far from it. Their brand new single, called "After Hours", just came out in the UK days ago. Their debut album, With Love and Squalor, has b... MORE

This video isn't terribly exciting, but I am completely in love with this song. It gets me going in the a.m. as I think about the many late nights of drinking I've had and how I should do that again tres soon.
I mean, even J-Lo acknoweldged her roots a la Jenny From The Block. So even if it's not true, can't you just pretend Akiva?

sort of. . . I just recently bought the new We Are Scientists CD "Brain Thrust Mastery" and have only listened to one song as of right now. . . Its called After Hours and its the single. Its pretty freaking hypnotizing I really enjoy it. I will write a full review for the CD very soon, lemme just get tired of this song first. . .
Having released an incredible debut LP with, With Love And Squalor it was always going to be a trial for We Are Scientists to come up with a follow up which could top it. Since the release of their new album, Brain Thrust Mastery I’ve given up on the idea of them being able to “top it” and resigned myself to the fact that the once distinctive We Are Scientists ‘sound’ is no more. It’s difficult to say what brought about this change in the two years between releases but... MORE
I hate to get all Craigslist on here but I have a futon covered in blood that I need to unload fast. Just kidding. I actually have two tickets to the We Are Scientists show at the El Rey, July 1. I can't go. They're $25 each (after all the ticketmaster fees), it's general admission, starts at 8 pm. Anyone want to buy them off me?

Publicity is an ironic profession. The sad reality is, despite being intimately involved with a particular artist – contacting media outlets on their behalf, packaging their CDs or finding paths to success – it starts feeling like a grind, rather than a celebration of their music. Over the summer, I’ve been interning at Astralwerks , a pioneering label in electronic music. However, it’s fair to say that the glory days are past, and much of the current roster ... MORE

So I busted my dog via webcam opening doors using her teeth on doorknobs and that made me think of the Journey album Escape and that made me feel dirty so then I thought of the We Are Scientists song The Great Escape so I put that video on MOG then I posted the video of the Houdini-like dog.
